A storyboard for a 30 second animated title sequence for an adaptation of George Orwell’s 1945 novel Animal Farm. The focus of the title sequence’s design is to introduce the character’s and to portray their individual personalities in one illustration each, as the book’s story and plot is primarily character focused.
The gritty illustrations, colour scheme and font choices were all chosen to represent the novel’s allegory and political commentary on Communism. The visuals take inspiration specifically from Soviet Propaganda artwork and posters of the 1940’s.
